End user licence agreement

The agreement covering the Fleet application itself. Section 4 is the one to actually read: Fleet runs AI agents with your own privileges on your own machine.

Last updated: 3 August 2026

1. The agreement

This agreement is between you and [LEGAL ENTITY] (“we”, “us”) and covers the Fleet desktop application and any updates to it (the “Software”). By installing or using the Software you accept it. If you do not accept it, do not install the Software.

2. Licence granted

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Software on Macs you own or control, for your own work or your employer’s work. The Software is licensed, not sold. We keep every right not expressly granted here.

3. What you may not do

4. What the Software does on your machine, and your responsibility for it

This section matters more than the rest of this document, so it is written plainly.

Fleet runs AI coding agents on your computer. Those agents execute commands and modify files with your own user privileges. They can create and delete files, install packages, run build and test scripts, start network servers, make outbound network requests, create git branches and worktrees, commit, push, and open pull requests against repositories you have credentials for. Fleet gives you permission modes to control how much of this happens without asking you first, up to and including a mode where nothing asks at all.

You are responsible for what the agents you run do. That includes choosing a permission mode appropriate to the task, choosing which repositories to point Fleet at, reviewing changes before merging or pushing them, and deciding which MCP servers and which project templates to allow, each of which causes commands to be run on your machine. Model output can be wrong, and an agent can take a destructive action while believing it is helping.

We strongly recommend you keep backups and version control history for anything you care about, and do not run Fleet against a repository whose loss you could not tolerate.

5. Third party software and services

The Software requires and runs your own installation of Claude Code, and optionally the GitHub CLI, git, and any MCP servers, project scaffolders or scripts you configure. Those are governed by their own licences and terms, including your own agreement with Anthropic. We do not provide model access, and any usage charges are between you and the relevant provider.

6. Privacy

The Software has no account, no telemetry, no analytics and no crash reporting. See the privacy policy for what it stores locally and for the single outbound request it makes on its own behalf.

7. Updates

The Software may check for and install updates. You can disable that check in Settings. We may change or discontinue features between versions, and we may stop supporting older versions.

8. Beta and pre-release software

Versions numbered below 1.0, and anything we label as beta or preview, are pre-release. They may be unstable, may change incompatibly, and are provided for evaluation. Do not rely on them for critical work.

9. No warranty

The Software is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that the Software will be error free, that agent output will be correct, or that it will not modify or delete data in ways you did not intend.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost data, lost or corrupted source code, lost profits, business interruption, or any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the Software or from actions taken by agents run through it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the Software in the twelve months before the claim, or [MINIMUM AMOUNT] if that is greater. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.

11. Termination

This licence ends automatically if you breach it. On termination you must stop using the Software and delete your copies. Sections 4, 9, 10 and 12 survive.

12. General

This agreement is governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION]. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. This agreement, together with the privacy policy, is the whole agreement between us about the Software.
